Bocas del Toro´s Tourist Information Center - IS CLOSED FOR LOW SEASON. Please contact us by e-mail with your enquiries. Thank you.
The Bocas Sustainable Tourism Alliance operates a Tourist Information Center in the center of Bocas town.
The Bocas Tourist Information Center is a hub for visitors and community members to congregate and learn about the latest initiatives that BSTA is undertaking to preserve the geographic character of Bocas del Toro. The Information Center promotes BSTA member enterprises including hotels, community tourism organizations, restaurants, farms, volunteer opportunities and tour operators; and educates visitors on the local culture, through displays featuring traditional crafts.
The Center houses a small reference library with books about the local wildlife, history and culture. There is also for sale a selection of handmade crafts from the local indigenous communities; artworks made with natural, sustainable materials by local artists; and items made from recycled materials - the artisans benefit directly from the sale of their products.
Visitors can use the internet to plan their travels or keep in touch with friends and family back home - and don´t forget to refill your water bottle here to help save money AND the environment!
Coming soon!
We will have a detailed map of Bocas del Toro for sale, and are working on a small garden where you can relax, read and meet other travelers.
The Tourist Information Center is staffed by local residents who care deeply about the preservation of their home.
