Additionally, the Center's staff will be available to help tourists book reservations for hotels and tours, to find restaurants and attractions, and to provide general advice on traveling in the region. Traditional crafts produced by local artisans and eco-friendly items made from recycled materials will be available for sale at the Center to benefit the Alliance. BSTA member companies are invited to display promotional material in the Tourist Information Center. The Center will highlight the wide variety of sustainable enterprises on the archipelago and will encourage tourists to give preference to companies committed to the BSTA's high standard of sustainability. The Bocas del Toro Sustainable Tourism Alliance's Tourist Information Center is on schedule to open to the public in late July. The Center will be an invaluable resource for the region's visitors and businesses alike. The Center will help tourists understand Bocas del Toro's unique culture and ecology and will promote the goals of sustainable tourism.
