           NOMINATE FOUR PERFECT DAYS IN BOCAS DEL TORO

                    Help identify new itineraries, circuits, and activities that are based around Bocas
                                                      del Toro geographical character of place

 The USAID Conservation of Central American Watersheds Program is working to protect the unique biodiversity of the region by strengthening sustainable tourism in Bocas del Toro. Within this program, Solimar International is implementing the “Bocas del Toro Geotourism Initiative”, to ensure tourism is developed based around the natural and cultural attractions that are unique to Bocas del Toro. This concept known as Geotourism, created by National Geographic’s Center for Sustainable Destinations, invites residents and visitors to help identify Geotourism attractions and itineraries that promote “tourism that sustains or enhances the geographical character of a place – its environment, culture, aesthetics, and the well-being of its residents.We are asking you to design four perfect days in Bocas del Toro that incorporates both attractions and businesses featuring the local culture and natural assets of our destination. The itinerary should be creative – imagine you are helping a friend design their visit to Bocas. What would you recommend? Don’t forget plans for a rainy day! Since we get a lot of rain here in Bocas, one of the four days should feature activities or attractions that can be enjoyed in rainy weather.

The purpose of this nomination is for you to design and recommend an itinerary that best captures
Bocas’ unique geographical and cultural character!
